Annemarie Petri

Annemarie Petri (The Hague, Netherlands, 1965) is a versatile artist. She creates paintings, sculptures, and etchings. Her great technical ability is always at the service of evoking a unique, fairytale-like, and melancholic world. Within this realm, her range is vast— from bizarre to humorous, from surreal to familiar. A striking aspect of her work is the high level of concentration and love with which she executes her intricate compositions.

Annemarie studied at the Vrije Academie in The Hague (1984-1989) and has since built an excellent reputation, first as a printmaker and later as a painter and sculptor. Her work is exhibited in various museums, galleries, and fairs both in the Netherlands and internationally.
