Micky Hoogendijk
"Through the eyes of others, I see myself—a thought that shapes my artistic journey. Through clay, bronze, photography, and now painting, I translate my inner world into tangible art. My sculptures bear the traces of time, reflecting human connection and the balance between strength and vulnerability."
Micky Hoogendijk
This exhibition invites reflection: how does time shape us—both physically and mentally? How are memories and experiences anchored in matter and art?
Micky Hoogendijk's sculptural practice explores the concept of human connection in its broadest sense. Her bronze sculptures, featuring anonymous figures intertwined and apart, delve into the intricate dynamics of human connection. Through these works, she highlights the power and strength found in human relationships, while also revealing the beauty of vulnerability.
